Bette and Joe just told me about this one (and I have some updates on previous Alerts too).
If you eat a LOT of Nestles chocolate, and don't mind a 1/24 scale car dwarfing your other Promos, this might be for you (of course, if you're gonna have one to dwarf the others, shouldn't it be Dale Earnhardt?).
I didn't find it right away, it wasn't on wrappers or bags, and I didn't find it on the web; right away.
But sure enough, there it is, follow the racing and #3 collectible links or go to http://www.hersheysracing.com/site/files/hr_orderform.html for the order form.
They say it's free (there's $5.00 S&H), and it'll take 100 UPCs, that's a candy bar a day for 3 months and a week!
So if you're interested, start now, it ends 12/31/01.
There's a list of 27 eligible candies between 1.4oz and 3.5oz on the site.
There are other things you can get, from a 300 UPC Team Jacket, to a poster or a can coolee and others.
But, if you're a Dale Earnhardt fan, what's a few pounds.
Cheerios #43 Sticker Activity Set Update:
If you're really hardcore about getting every available promo, you should know the order form is on the 15oz Cheerios as well as 14oz HN Cheerios.
Unless someone donates one, I don't think you'll see one in the Newsletter.
Hills Bros. Coffee Update:
I got some information from the Marketing people for this promo.
The car is a Racing Champions produced in 2000.
Ed Berrier has his name above the door.
You can substitute $5 for each UPC if you're like me, in a Hills Bros. Coffeeless market.
Pete, PR Director at Keystone Marketing Co. Inc. said "Be sure to include a note saying that you did just that." (I guess that's not a bad deal, a can of coffee is usually almost or over $5)
Pete also told me there are 3,000 1/64 cars and 2,000 double-packs (1/64 & 1/24) left, so keep drinking your java.
The 1/64 car is listed here - http://www.hillsbrosracing.com/merchandise.html but not the double-pack, I'll get back to you on that.
Nestea Correction:
All you need are the cash register receipts with the products circled and $1.99, not the UPCs.
I was confused by the "proofs of purchase" and the "Do not staple, glue, or tape the UPC's to this form." printed on the official order form, by the way you need to use the official order form found on the inside of specially marked labels.
That'll do for now....
Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
