OK, I'll tell you one of his secrets, ProMoCo subscribes to a weekly called NASCAR Winston Cup Scene, they have ads and notices that highlight some of the upcoming Promos.

With that said, he just told me about 4 today! One other thing first! My next eNewsletter article will be on the 4(?) Richard Petty #43 cars that were available through Wisk detergent. I just wanted to discuss some facts to make sure I had them straight. Anybody help me out? Also, we're in 10th spot of the top 50, and only a few votes out of getting back to 9th, 8th spot has almost twice as many votes as we do, but let's try to get back into single digits! Click "here" to stay in the Top 10 underline to vote, you won't lose your place because it opens a seperate window - vote early and often!

Fist - I have not been able to verify a Citgo Promo at the station, there is one on the website though. I have been to about a dozen stations, and no-one has one or remembers one from this year.

Second - ProMoCo informed me he has seen the 1/64 version of the two new NAPA cars, he also saw the 2 I've seen in 1/24 scale. See Alert #15 for details. Talking about #15, I got the Home Depot #20/#18 twin pack - nice cars!

OK, here they are in a nutshell, he quoted several lines from the weekly, but I don't want to do direct quotes. Here we go!

Amoco/BP 'The perfect present for the holidays...', I tracked this one down already, and it's a great present for a kid! These ARE Racing Champions, but they are toy cars! I was so disapointed! It sounded cool, several street and race cars, including a '34 Ford Coupe, Plymouth Prowler, '57 Chevy and Dodge Viper - so I was thinking they might be the same awesome cars they promoed earlier this year. It included a collector case with 2 trays (like the old Hot Wheels cases) and trading card collector pages (saw nothing of the sort). Well the case was the vinyl covered cardboard type with the thin plastic trays, and although there were 12 cars, they were cheap. $13.99 with 8 gallons, get it for a kid, but I don't think I will.

True Value has these on the website, and 'selected' stores. They call these the 'rare IROC cars', they are all Firebirds in several different colors, as ProMoCo pointed out IROC races 12 drivers with 12 different colors, they say collect all 8 colors, so they are a few shy of a full field. The weekly reported 1/64 scale the website says 1/60 so they might be a bit larger than your other cars. The hood opens to show the engine and they include display stands with the Firebird and IROC logos. On the website, the different colors have different numbers, there seems to be writting over the windows, so they may be personalized to the drivers. They cost #3.99 on the website, haven't been to the hardware store yet, hope they have one in my area - let me know how much they cost in store, and if they have driver names.

Van Camp's Beans is offerring 2 big cars. A 1/24 scale #8 Dale Jr. and #29 Kevin Harvick, each one will cost you $29.08 plus 10 PoPs and the Official Order form from the inside label. Any variety/size/flavor of Van Camp's Baked Beans, Pork and Beans or Beenee Weenee. The Kevin Harvick site has several 1/24 scale cars, the ones with prices are $59.95, so it looks like a good deal. He didn't mention which color scheme it was, nor the Dale Jr car. Looks like a good deal as long as they're not the cheapie closed hood - no engine cars.

Finally, another one I've been able to track down already (not bad for a backwoods boy - 2 in less than 6 hours! - and I got this Alert sent within 12 hours!) I think I've mentioned, you should be on the lookout for this one, but gift packs usually only come out for Christmas. This is the Old Spice 'fragrance gift set' - Deoderant, shave cream and after shave packaged in a travel bag with the #20 Tony Stewart Home Depot car. I LIKED THIS CAR, it is an Action packaged in a sturdy display box - very much like the Oreo Cookies Car. Little decals, interior, driver's name, it has it all, the minor flaw is one-piece plastic tire/wheels. It does have the Home Depot on the hood, and I wasn't looking for Old Spice - sorry! I use the deoderant myself (because it doesn't include aluminum in the ingredients - I'm airheaded enough, I don't need to test my luck with Alzheimer's too). I like this car, hope it shows up in Wal-Mart soon, so I can afford it.

Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
