Pre-season Promos, but are they 2002 cars?

ProMoCo first alerted me to the Nabisco/Oreo's #3 Busch car PoP. Thanks to C.L.J. and Harold for sending eMails too. The picture shows a blue Monte Carlo with sloshing milk and Oreo Cookies. Oreo is in big white letters on the hood along with a Ritz logo. Oreo is over the rear wheelwell with the Nilla Wafers and Nutter Butter logos fore and aft of that wheel. Fig Newtons is on the trunk and there's headlight and taillight decals. But, this looks like an "artist's rendering" so we won't know what it'll look like 'till we see one. The Jayski site shows this car as a 2002 BGN car expected to race at Daytona, as a matter of fact, the Jayski picture looks just like the one on the package. They give credit to Action for that picture, as well as a Nutter Butter paint job to be raced in May.

To order your 'Limited Edition Dale Earnhardt Jr. "The Legacy Continues" Die-Cast Collectible'; just buy 2 of these 8 oz. or larger products: Oreo, Mini Oreo, Ritz, Mini Ritz, Nutter Butter, Fig Newtons, Fat Free Fig Newtons, or Nilla Wafers. In some cases there's an order form, otherwise print your name and complete address and daytime phone number on a 3"x5" card. For each car include $4.99 (3.99 + 1.00 S&H, make payable to Nabisco NASCAR Promotion) and 2 UPC seals. Mail to:

by April 30, 2002. Don't expect it right away, allow 10 to 12 weeks. This one has scary fine print about duplicate requests, fraud, and U.S. Mail Fraud Statues (18 U.S. Code Sections 1341 & 1342).

ProMoCo also told me about the Cortizone attached #17 Visine Busch car. When he found one he sent these details. "It's in an elongated window box perched on top of Cortizone 10 plus (a Pfizer product)." "The car itself is a 2000 Monte Carlo by Team Caliber. It has (Matt) Kenseth's name over the driver's window and Jason Schuler's name above the window on the other side. Schuler drove the #17 several times during 2000 when the Winston Cup and BGN races were being held at different tracks on the same weekend. He didn't drive the #17 at at all during 2001." He also let me know he believes it to be a 2001 since Visine isn't sponsoring the #17 for 2002. Thanks for that great in-depth info! Dave found mention of it on eBay a couple of days later.

No-one has found one in stores yet, but a couple of you found this one on the website. The "ToyNut" sent the link first, followed by ProMoCo the next day. To see for yourself, just go to www.cheez-it.com and click on Cheez-It Racing. Looks like we'll have a new Terry Labonte #5 Cheez-It Promo soon. If you check out Jayski, there was no such paint job in 2001, but it is scheduled to run at Las Vegas and the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway in May.

I've looked and haven't run across any Product Attached cars yet, but I did get me some "Nutter Butters". One final thing, the Tide/Give Kids the World Mail-In expires the end of this month. I will try to let you know if an offer expires soon in future Alerts.

Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
