Promos, few and far between
This year Promos seem to be off to a slower start!
Kellogg's has Hendrick Motorsports Racing Decals inside specially marked boxes.
Collect all 6 from the ranks from the Winston Cup and the Craftsman Trucks.
On the back panel they show each decal with a milestone for each driver.
The decals are #5 - Terry Labonte, #24 - Jeff Gordon, #25 - Jerry Nadeau, #48 - Jimmie Johnson and in trucks, #24 - Jack Sprague, and #17 - Ricky Hendrick.
You could also win a 2002 Monte Carlo SS Special Edition if you get the special #5 car decal.
There are some interesting tid-bits about Hendrick Motorsports too.
From 1984 when they fielded their first Winston Cup team through June 2001 when they became only the second NASCAR team to earn 100 wins when Jeff Gordon won at Michigan.
Each oval decal is about 3" by 2" and is printed on gummed clear vinyl, to be stuck on the outside of something.
Has Anyone Seen The Cheez-It Cars Yet? It's March and I'm still finding footballs!!!
Finally, do you have an extraordinary Promotional/Exclusive collection or display?
Being such a slow year, I'm having problems finding enough Promos to write about.
If you'd like to have your collection and a few thoughts published in DieCast Digest, let me know!
I also haven't given up on the eNewsletter or website, I just need more hours in a day.
If you can send a well-lit, in-focus JPG picture or two, and let me know if you want to be known as just "a reader", "a reader from (your state)", or your name, with or without your eMail address.
Also, give me some info; How long have you been collecting? How many cars in your collection? Why do you collect Promos and/or Exclusives? What got you started?
What do you like or look for? What else is in your collection that's interesting or exciting? Are you more of a Race Fan or a Collect-a-holic?
If you're married, does your spouse help or hinder? Any other info that might be interesting or informative? If you respond, that will be considered your release to be written about.
If I see or read something interesting, I may eMail you for some more information.
I'll let you know if and what issue of DieCast Digest or the eNewsletter you will appear in.
Thanks in advance for your participation!
Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
Ask the Editor for more information.
