Star Wars Promo Info
You can collect all three Star Wars paint jobs.
I wasn't expecting to find a box this quickly, I just sent out the Alert and an eMail to the big G, and I have a box already!
(Unlike the Cheez-It box that I still haven't found).
Here is some info on this Mail-In PoP, $1.25 S&H, one UPC, and the official order form.
Choose from A) Episode II: Attack of the Clones, B) Episode I: The Phantom Menace or C) Star Wars Trilogy -OR- the set of three (only $2.25 S&H) and send it in before 5/31/03.
Since you need the original order form, I won't bother with the address, etc., but the offer is limited to 3 individual cars or the set per address, and of course, "Reproduction, purchase, sale or trade of any offer requirement is prohibited."
I expect I will have extra order forms if you are not one of the selected states, but I guess I'll have to give them away (but a contribution to the eNewsletter is always appreciated, and will be acknowledged first).
The official word is the SouthEastern US are the selected states.
Looking at the pictures of the DieCasts, it looks like they'll be black-window cars.
Another blurb on the box tells you John Andretti will drive the one-time-only car at Lowe's Motor Speedway in mid-May.
It also mentions the "cool images" and voting online at www.starwars.cheeriosracing.com, and "check out these sites for additional information:" www.starwarskids.com, www.pettyracing.com and www.starwars.com.
I like the fact that you can get all 3 cars at the same time (will it be packaged as a set, or just the three cars, we'll see).
More info on the K-Mart LIMITED EDITION M&M's 1:64 Scale DieCast Replica Stock Car.
Buy 10 candy "bars" and you get the car free, I like those deals!
Several candy bars are included, Snickers and the 3 types of M&M's, I'm buying the M&M's, you could win money with specially marked packages and I'm collecting points for the Mail-In PoP for both the 1:64 and 1:24 scale cars.
The car you get is a Racing Champions 2002 Pontiac.
It says "M&M's Racing Team" on the blister pak card.
There are also 4 M&M's characters on the front, Blue is in sunglasses & headset, Yellow has a M&M's ballcap and wrenches, Red is in a headset and Green is wearing her hippie boots.
Blue has a "thumbs up", Yellow is scratching his head, Red's pointing right at you, and Green is waving.
As far as the car, K Schrader is over both windows.
There's more characters on the car, Red with a "Relief Driver" ball cap is holding a Yellow helmet on driver's side, Green with headset and sign "Going my Way?" is on other side and Yellow is hanging on the rear bumper.
Regular M&M's all over the hood and front bumper and there's M&M's logos all over, Snickers on the trunk and Pedigree on lower rear quarters and a small one on the hood.
Racing product decals are all over, behind the front wheelwells and in front of the rear wheels and on the "B" & "C" pillars.
There are Headlights but no Taillights, too many other graphics back there.
One piece tires and wheels, full interior and the "clear glass" has the black around the windshield edge and black strips for the stiffeners.
Very nice car, I highly recommend it - hope you can find one.
On the display are some other cars with the following information:
Pedigree - May 2002
Snickers Fun Size - June/July
Pedigree School Spirit - Aug/Sept
M&M's Halloween - October 2002
I guess they're going to make similar offers through the year, so....
Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
Ask the Editor for more information.
