Two New Promos

Thanks ProMoCo for noticing I still had my old eMail address listed on the Alerts, this one should be correct. It is ScaleCarPromo@hotmail.com since the about.com people booted me off.

Harold in St. Louis has found the latest two promos. A new HN Cheerios car with "the Bee with dark glasses and a big black hat just like Richard Petty" on the hood. I haven't found it yet but he says you need the Official Order Form from HN Cheerios, 2 UPCs and $1.25 for each car, limit 2. The offer expires May 31, 2003 so there's plenty of time to find one. ProMoCo added this info: "Pictures on the front and back panels of the box show numerous associate sponsor decals, but the picture on the official order form (located on a side panel) shows very few as best I can tell. I don't know when or even if this paint scheme will be run. I didn't find a photo of it on Jayski's."

The other one is a new Excedrin #92 driven by Andy Houston by Racing Champions. He found it in a display of Excedrin Extra Strength 100 coated caplets and it was wrapped with the box (just like the other ones). My Wal-Mart didn't have this one yet either, but I expect it to be of the same quality and caliber as the others. ProMoCo also mentioned that Andy Houston drove the car for only a few races this year, then was replaced by Todd Bodine.

ProMoCo found this one: "Mark Martin #6 Ford Taurus. This is reported to be a mail-in coupon offer attached to some kind of twin-pack of Maxwell House Coffee. I haven't seen either the offer or a picture of the car, but I'm assuming it's a replica of the Kraft car that Mark drove in the Bud Shootout at Daytona. Maybe it's the same car as the one in the pudding promotion." I'll have to try to put some new pictures on the WebSite, so we can compare pictures of the "Kraft" cars.

I ran across this Exclusive while looking for the BUSS Fuses (I finally found ONE). NAPA has the new Michael Waltrip #15 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It's another Action in a window display box like the 2001 cars. ProMoCo already picked up his, I had to wait till payday. They also have a really neat, very detailed large scale (1/24? maybe 1/18, I didn't look) old time wrecker. I think it was a late '40's model, sorry I didn't check the details (I was on my way to work), but I thought I'd mention it.

Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
