Kraft Update

As I was starting this one, I noticed I mis-numbered the last one, sorry, that was supposed to be #29. While I'm apologizing, several of you caught the fact that I made a mistake when telling you about the Banquet Promo, it's for Bobby Labonte, not Terry (see below). Also, the #3 Nutter Butter car is by Action, not R.C.

A couple of things I've come across lately that no-one else mentioned, maybe because they're not cars. In Alert #23 & the next DCD Article, I talked about the stickers you can get, and I thought I mentioned the Maxwell House trading card in #27, maybe that was the DCD Article too. In any case, there are more trading cards out there. There's a series of 5 Terry Labonte #5 Kellogg's Cars in specially marked boxes of Eggo's. And while you're collecting UPCs for the Kraft Promo, (details below) might as well get one of the Trading Cards on boxes of Kraft Velveeta Shells & Cheese Dinners. There are 3 available of Jeff Burton. The difference is the Eggo's cards are like real trading cards, and the Kraft cards are cut-your-own like the Mark Martin Cap'n Crunch last year.

Tony in Indiana finally got his Mrs. Smith's car, and it came with an apology for the slow shipping and included a coupon for a free pie or cobbler. The word is, last year's and this year's are season specific and not just last year's model.

John went to the North San Diego County fair and stopped by a Union 76 booth to sign up for their credit card. They gave him two blister packed (on a blue Union 76 card) clear window Action 1/64 scale cars. So what if they were 1999 cars, he got Jeff Gordon and Ken Schrader, PLUS he got two "cool" Union 76 Racing tee shirts. I think I would have gotten a disguise and tried again!

The Toynut found the Kraft promo! You have to purchase any three different Kraft products: Kraft Singles, Taco Bell Home Originals Mexican Food Products, Kraft Mayo, Miracle Whip Salad Dressing, Maxwell House or Yuban Coffee, Velveeta prepared cheese products, Velveeta Shells & Cheese Dinners or Kraft Handi-Snacks Puddings. You need the PoPs or write the UPC code on the original cash register receipt, plus $1.50 postage & handling. I didn't get the low down on the order forms, I wish they all would just have a Website printable form!

One of our compatriots has found an Albertson's that seems to be liquidating their stock of 1/64 Exclusives! I would have to pay $2.59 (on sale from $2.99) for the 2001 blue roof number or 2002 red roof number cars. He can also get the 1/24 scale cars cheap, I've already sent him an email that he may want to get some "trading" stock, eMail me ASAP if you're interested, and I'll hook y'all up. I'll be getting one of each, it might be a good investment, he's currently 2nd in the BGN points!

Speaking of future investments, should we be looking for a Pepsi 400 win car at NAPA soon? I've got the 2002 edition, I wonder if they'll have another now? Looks like the NAPA DEI team has Daytona dialed in, 50% in the last 4 races!

Sorry, I've been remiss and not keeping up the website. Maybe this week I can get caught up.

Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
