Just when I thought I could settle down and work on my close-up photography and Digital Photography webpage!
But this weekend, I picked up 2 Exclusives and found another cereal promo.
I haven't checked my email yet, but even with the extra eyes, I was still the first to find these, so y'all keep looking!
Honey Nut Cheerios is offering a 2001 Limited Edition HONEY NUT CHEERIOS #43 Dodge.
Not only is it a new paint scheme for the old yellow and blue Cheerios #43, but Sam Bass designed this honey gold BuzzBee(R) paint scheme.
You will need an original order form (from the box), 2 UPC codes and $1.25 for shipping and handling for EACH car.
There is a limit of 2 cars per address or family, and the offer doesn't expire for a year - 8/01/02!
The car is touted as a single race paint job, wonder which one?
There are 2 websites listed on the box; www.pettyracing.com and www.sambass.com; maybe one of them has some info.
I also stopped by a couple of Rent to Own stores and found 2 Exclusives.
Aaron's has a blister pack Racing Champions #99 and a display box Action 312 (one of their logo numbers) for $3.99 each.
Where else can you get an RC and an Action for the same price?
The RC #99 Michael Waltrip Chevy is the usual nice car with interior and autographed Aaron's #99 display stand.
(This is not Shawna's #84 car).
Limited Edition and Aaron's Dream Machine are printed on the front of the card.
On the back are a bunch of appliance manufacturers (also painted around the rear wheelwells), MW racing and Habitat for Humanity logos, and a 2000 copyright date.
The Action #312 Ford is the usual nice car with interior in a display box.
The box has the 'NASCAR 2000' logo along with Habitat for Humanity, Aaron's 312 and the Atlanta Motor Speedway logos.
It also has a 2000 copyright.
While I was at it, I've been checking Amoco stations for the promo the Missouri Collector told me about, and I finally got lucky!
I was able to find 4 of the cars, Dave Blaney's #93 Amoco Dodge, a '96 Dodge Ram Pick-Up, '96 Dodge Viper GTS, and '69 Dodge Daytona, all in Amoco racing colors.
I won't go into alot of detail here (this is future article material), I can say the NASCAR racer is the usual nice RC car, but the other three are Hood Open, 2 piece wheel/rubber-like treaded tires with detailed street interiors.
These are a very nice addition to my boxed promo collection.
Speaking of the Missouri Collector, he also found a new promo.
I haven't found it yet, but it seems Jelly Belly is sponsoring a truck in the Craftsman series.
For the original order form, 2 UPCs and $1.99 PLUS $1.50 shipping and handling you get a 1/64 version.
Now, that's a little expensive, it better be a nice truck, the aforementioned Ram truck only cost me $1.99!
Well, there's some more for you.
I need to hear from more of you out there.
Feel free to tell me about Exclusives too, I noticed Kroger has had promos in the past, and we don't have them here.
So remember-
Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
Ask the Editor for more information.
