I didn't realize I had this one in the can - I just needed to polish it and send it out.
Sorry for the delay, there should be another one soon.
Thanks to everyone for pointing out the almost obvious, the car was packed inside the Trailer.
I didn't feel as bad after one of you admitted to going as far as calling the Customer Support line.
In my defense - remember the Tony the Tiger transporter, they were shipped separately (you could also order the car separately).
Here's a PoS promo, not as expensive as the Sears' Funny Car ($70 in tools if you weren't lucky enough to get one for just asking), but another Mall store.
Dillard's will give you the Dale Jr. Drakar Busch Chevy when you buy $39.50 worth of merchandise.
If you want to see, go to http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/5369/4h/www.dillards.com/images/product/cx-177_ai.jpg.
It is a 1/24 Action, with rubber-like tires, nice details on the chassis and interior, and some great graphics detailing the windows.
I was checking out Toys R Us for some HotWheels to add to my Sports Car Racing collection, when I came across this Exclusive.
In 2002, they sponsored the #54 Busch Chevy driven by Kevin Grubb (this year Hermie Sadler is driving a few races, he got some air-time last Saturday - but not in a good way).
They have seveval different models from 1/64 to a 1/24 Radio Controlled car (which I didn't see there).
The DieCasts are made by GC (Great Creations) and looked comprable to the Wal-Mart RCs and Winner Circles.
The 1/64 looked like an RC at first glance, but on a blue card.
The clear window car had painted gaskets and stiffeners and a normal looking interior.
The chassis was well detailed, but maybe with a little less relief.
The 1/43 looked a little more toyish than you would expect from a larger scale model.
The 1/24 car looked and was packaged comparable to the RC.
I took the big one out of the box so I could include it in my next Head2Head DCD column.
The chassis looks like a larger version of a 1/64 with the same kind of not too deep relief.
Comparing it to the RC Wal-Mart car, the RC chassis has much more relief and detail.
They also had a non-standard 1/58 scale transporter, this looked suitable for a 3 year old.
Envelopes have been trickling in, along with eMails of support.
I Thank You for the support, but I'm feeling like Public Television, I'm not even half way to my goal of 50 envelopes.
I will be adding services to those who do contribute - and everyone who accesses the website will be much happier since we won't have to put-up with the pop-ups.
I'm only asking for the amount you would spend on a Beckett's.
There are seven or eight of you who will get a couple of years free since you donated cars so I can include them on the website - a couple of you donated the $5 too - Thank You!
Keep your eyes peeled - they're out there!
Ask the Editor for more information.
