This is probably the most expensive 'free' car, but with Jeff Gordon looking like he's clinching another title, this may be the only way you can can him. King Richard and the Intimidator are my all time favorites along with Buddy Baker, Cale, Bobbys Allison & Isaac and all of those legends, but even with the bad press and fanaticism about Jeff, you have to admit he can race (anyway, he's my son's favorite).

For 4 12 pack UPCs, $8.00, and a 3X5 card you get a Dupont blue pearlescent painted Pepsi #24 in a display can (a Pepsi can that is). I wish it was a Hood Open model, or a ChromaLusion, I mean for 8 bucks! The offer expires 12/02/01, and there's even small print that says they reserve the right to substitute items of equal or GREATER value if they run out! (If the kid breaks any more records, he just broke the record for the most Road Coarse wins, and on track to another Championship, they may be out already!)

I've been told there is another 'car-in-a-can' offer, and I'm still looking for it. After surfing the website, and not finding info on the promo, I called. This is what the Mountain Dew people told me. before 12/02/01 and you should get a #19 Dodge, but from a xerographic copy that ProMoCo sent, don't be surprised if it isn't green and red like the car on the website.

Finally, a new subscriber says he sent away for the trio of Hamburger Helper Petty Gold Edition cars, and hasn't seen anything yet. The offer expires 8/30/01 and I just sent mine in, has anyone else had problems or gotten their cars? Email me and I'll pass on the info. I know PromMoCo mentioned he got a free hat and letter of apology for a different car offer getting sent late.

I got lucky with the Pedigree phone number, and when I tried the Betty Crocker number, I got lucky again. I got a courteous Customer Service Rep that told me they still have cars, and if you don't see anything after the 16 weeks, call them at 800-828-3291, and they'll take care of you. I wish each offer would have a phone number or at least a website for enquiries as nice as the two I've dealt with so far.

(H.H. UPDATE) -- I got an email that he contacted the folks, and they're taking good care of him! Good to hear!
